    Third Italy: changes without disposal; or why the "Italia di mezzo" or "Third Italy" should be regarded as part of the Northern Italy Megalopolis - The research questions why the Third Italy was considered part of the Northern Italy Megalopolis when it was first discovered, in spite of its rural and local model of industrialization, and if it's still possible today to consider it so, notwithstanding deep economic and urban changes. The Third Italy have industrialized starting from the Sixties of the XX century and many changes occurred in the region because of technological innovations, the growth of the tertiary sector, the emerging on the international market of newcomers and globalization. But the region continues to constitute a component of the Northern Italy Megalopolis.

    Troisième Italie: changements sans dismissions. - En partant des considérations pour lesquelles quand, il y a trente ans, a été découverte la formation d'une mégalopole dans l'Italie du Nord, on imaginait que la "Troisième Italie" en faisait partie bien que sa industrialisation était localiste et rurale; cette recherche se demande si la Troisième Italie continue à participer à la mégalopole après les grands changements de l'économie et de l'urbanisation. Ces régions ont supporté beaucoup des changements à la suite du progrès technologique, de la tertiarisation de l'économie, de l'arrivée sur le marché international de newcomers et de la globalisation. Mais elles restent composants essentiaux de la "mégalopole en formation" dans l'Italie du Nord.

    L'articolo si domanda se trent'anni dopo la scoperta del processo di formazione di una struttura megalopolitana nell'Italia settentrionale persistano le ragioni che vi hanno fatto includere quella parte orientale la cui industrializzazione aveva avuto caratteri del tutto diversi dall'industrializzazione fordista.
