    El artículo presenta y articula el material de trabajo inédito del historiador mexicano Edmundo O'Gorman, consistente en fichas de trabajo y cuartillas manuscritas, sobre el significado y claves de la novela Calvario y Tabor, del novelista e historiador Vicente Riva Palacio, la cual se desarrolla durante la intervención francesa, llamada en la época "segunda guerra de independencia". Las notas de O'Gorman dejan ver su método de investigación, que a la vez da razón de la originalidad y profundidad de su obra.

    The article presents and articulates the body of unpublished work by the Mexican historian Edmundo O'Gorman, consisting of file cards and handwritten texts, on the significance and keys to the novel Calvario y Tabor, by the novelist and historian Vicente Riva Palacio, which takes place during the French intervention, called at the time "the second war of independence." The notes of O'Gorman let us observe his method of investigation, giving light to the originality and depth of his work.
