Percepción de los profesores acerca del autoritarismo en los textos escolares de Historia de Chile

    Este artículo se basa en una investigación acerca de la percepción del fenómeno del Autoritarismo en profesores de enseñanza media que utilizan textos escolares para el estudio de la Historia de Chile. Se indagó cómo definen los profesores el autoritarismo y si lo perciben en los textos escolares de la disciplina. Se trabajó con una muestra de 60 profesores de enseñanza media de diferentes realidades educacionales de la Región de Los Lagos y de la Región de Los Ríos, Chile. Las respuestas fueron analizadas hermenéuticamente y se establecieron categorías de análisis emergentes. Los resultados obtenidos dan cuenta de que si bien los sujetos de la investigación definen adecuadamente el fenómeno, no logran percibirlo en los textos escolares en uso. Esta falta de criticidad y escasa capacidad para develar el currículum oculto es uno de los más importantes hallazgos de la investigación.

    This article is based on a research about the perception of Authoritarism among high school teachers that use textbooks for the study of History of Chile. An inquiry was used to find out how teachers define authoritarism and if they perceive it in the textbooks. The inquiry included a group of sixty high school teachers from different educational realities of "Region de los Lagos" and "Region de los Ríos", Chile. The answers were analyzed hermeneutically and categories of emergent analysis were established. The results obtained show that although the subjects under study define authoritarism properly they not perceive it in the textbooks used. This lack of critical attitude and scarce capacity to reveal the hidden curriculum is one of the most important findings of the research.
