The subject, from a psychoanalytic approach, is not of natural order, but an effect of language, marked by the signifier. Owing to the desire of the Other —in lack par excellence—, the subject can arise, and, trying to answer the enigma of the desire that constitutes him/her, he/she builds a fantasy where he/she updates the linkings and unlinkings to the object-cause of desire, by which he/she establishes an object position that appears before the Other and is constantly updated. Lacan's graph of desire will be useful to this end. Keywords: subject, Other, graph of desire.
