    Solemos acercarnos a la figura del matemático, marino e ilustrado español Jorge Juan (1713-1773) desde la perspectiva de su obra científica o su participación en la expedición geodésica a tierras ecuatorianas. Pero la que fue su gran obra, los navíos que se construyeron bajo su dirección, ha pasado inadvertida y es la que describe este artículo.

    We often approach the figure of Jorge Juan (1713-1773) mathematician, marine and illustrated from the perspective of his scientific work or participation in the geodesic expedition to Ecuador. But his great work, the ships that were built under his direction, has gone unnoticed and is described in this article.
