  En este trabajo se ajustan modelos del perfil del fuste de diámetro con corteza, diámetro sin corteza y grosor de corteza del árbol general para el Pinus caribaea Morelet var caribaea Barret y Golfari en cuatro Empresas Forestales Integrales de la Provincia de Pinar del Río: Viñales, Pinar del Río, La Palma y Macurije. Para la investigación se empleó la información obtenida en plantaciones de esta especie, para lo cual se seleccionó al azar mediante un muestreo aleatorio simple 348 árboles, derribados y trozados en secciones de 1 m, a los cuales se les midió el diámetro con y sin corteza, grosor de corteza, y la altura total, luego mediante el procesamiento estadístico se obtuvieron como las de mejor comportamiento predictivo las ecuaciones parabólicas cúbicas en función de las variables y ponderando el dcc y dsc con el dcc1.30.

  This paper models fit the profile of stem diameter over bark and diameter without bark general tree for Pinus caribaea Morelet var caribaea Barret and Golfari in 4 of the Integrated Forest Enterprises Pinar del Río Province: Viñales, Pinar del Rio, La Palma and Macurije. To research the information obtained was used in plantations of this species, to which was randomly selected by simple random sampling 348 trees felled and chopped into sections of 1 m, at which the diameter was measured with and without bark, crust thickness, and total height, then using the statistical processing were obtained as the best performing predictive cubic parabolic equations based on variables and weighting the dcc and the dcc1.30 dsc.
