    En 1808 la estructura político-administrativa de la Monarquía española era básicamente medieval. Además la institución monárquica atravesaba una grave crisis de desprestigio. Los acontecimientos de 1808 pusieron de relieve la incapacidad de reacción de las principales instituciones de la monarquía. En el trabajo se analizan la validez de la abdicación de Carlos IV en Aranjuez, los Tratados de Bayona que pusieron la Corona española en manos de Napoleón, así como los planteamientos jurídicos en los que se sustentó la sublevación contra las tropas francesas.

    In 1808 the political-administrative structure of the Spanish Monarchy was medieval basically. The monarchic institution also crossed to serious crisis of discredit.

    The events of 1808 put of relief the inability of reaction of the main institutions of the monarchy. In the work they it plows analyzed the validity of Carlos IV abdication in Aranjuez, the Treaties of Bayona that put the Spanish Crown in hands of Napoleon, ace well ace the juridical positions those that the rebellion was sustained against the French troops.
