Estudio comparativo de dos cementos endodónticos: estudio in vitro del sellado apical de los cementos de endodoncia AH plus® y EndoREZ®

    Se presenta un estudio de microfiltración entre dos cementos endodónticos (AH plus® y EndoREZ®). EL AH plus® (Dentsply/Detrey, Ballaigues, Switzerland) es uno de los cementos de resina más usados habitualmente en la clínica. El EndoREZ® es un cemento, también a base resina, que propugna el sistema de cono único. Al tratarse de un cemento de reciente aparición no hay estudios previos que nos indiquen la fiabilidad del sellado obtenido con este sistema. El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar la microfiltración de estos cementos. Para ello utilizamos 40 piezas dentarias divididas en cuatro grupos: dos de control y dos de estudio. Los grupos control lo forman dientes sin instrumentar y dientes únicamente instrumentados. Los dientes del grupo de estudio se instrumentaron con el sistema rotatorio K3 (K3/Kerr Europe, Herts UK) y se obturaron con el sistema correspondiente: AH plus® con gutapercha caliente (System B, Analytic Endodontics, Glendora CA) y EndoREZ® (Ultraden Products Inc, Utah, USA) con cono único. Se mantuvieron una semana en tinto china y se valoró la microfiltración al microscopio óptico realizando tres cortes perpendiculares al eje del diente.

    We introduce a study of microleakage between to root canal sealers. AH plus® is one of the most used resin root canal sealer. EndoREZ® is also a resin root canal sealer that promotes the only cone system. Due to the fact that is a recent appearance root canal sealer there aren't previous studies that show the fiability of the sealing of this system.

    We used 40 dental pieces divided in 4 groups. Two control groups and two study groups.

    The control groups where formed by teeth without instrumentation and teeth only instrumentated.

    The teeth of the study groups where instrumentated with K3 rotatory system and where filled with the correspondence system: AH plus® with hot guttapercha and EndoREZ® with only one. Them where kept for a week in chinese ink and the micro leakage was valued with an optic microscope making three cuts perpendicular two the tooth axis.

    The results obtained show a main leakage in the teeth filled with EndoREZ® than in the filled with AH plus®, even though it would be necessary forwards studies with more samples.
