The publication describes a system for the continuous transfer of information between track and train base on the use of an unpointed track circuit or, more precisely, a circuit with electric separation points. This system has been tested extensively by the S.N.C.F. and is expected to be used on the Paris/Lyon line with the onboard equipment doubled so as to avoid emergency braking in case of failure. The article describes the layout of field equipment and that installed on the train and the compensation blocks used to extend the circuit lengths on high speed lines.
