Solo exhibitions held by designers in museums tend to exhibit and comment upon their previous works and design process in a retrospective format. An exhibition titled Konstantin Grcic—Panorama, which runs until September 14 at Vitra Design Museum, is very different from conventional exhibit styles, and comprises a comprehensive design project that thinks about our future while surveying Konstantin Grcic's design world. I visited the site of the exhibition while preparations were being made just before opening and talked with museum director Mateo Kries and Konstantin Grcic about the exhibition that took three years to come to fruition.
