We've been hearing the term "design thinking" more and more these days. Although it designates ways of thinking or methods for generating innovation, various creators use the concept under their own idiosyncratic interpretation while its meaning and implications remain unclear. While some want to introduce design thinking into organizations, it has proved difficult to persuade and acquire the understanding of upper management and those in other high level positions owing to the inability to provide a clear explanation of the concept. What, then, is design thinking? In this feature we attempt to get a better handle on the situation.
