  • Resumen
    • "The drop in price was significant, but we have to get the volume back in global demand," Rick McLellan, a senior vice-president at Mosaic, said in an interview. "The volume clearly offsets the price in this case." The Sinofert deal ended a negotiating stalemate caused by China and India's "potash holiday," which saw buyers in the Asian nations hold off buying potash owing to high prices.

"New contracts with our Chinese partners are a positive signal for the global potash market setting the floor price and anticipating significant delivery volumes," Oleg Petrov, Uralkali sales and marketing director, said.
