    En este artículo pretendemos responder de forma muy sintética a las preguntas: ¿qués es la justicia? ¿Tiene esta que ver más con las reglas o con los fines, más con la razón o con el corazón? ¿Se construye la justicia fundamentalmente sobre la defensa del individuo o sobre la defensa del interés de la comunidad? ¿Existen posiciones intermedias en este debate sobre la justicia o se trata de posturas necesariamente irreconciliables? El debate actual sobre la justicia no es asunto solo de filósofos, ya que dependiendo de la perspectiva que adoptemos, asignaremos un papel u otro al Estado, a la comunidad y al individuo en la consecución de sociedades más justas. Vivimos en un tiempo crucial para la humanidad, en el que están en juego la justicia, la sostenibilidad y la paz, a causa de una crisis civilizatoria mundial que se traduce en una crisis de solidaridad. Necesitamos educar para la justicia y esto requiere de una buena dosis de racionalidad y de una enorme empatía y sensibilidad, de una defensa a ultranza del individuo y de una reconstrucción de las comunidades en las que este aprende a vivir virtuosamente cuidando de los otros

    This article aims to answer very briefly the following questions: What is justice? Does it have more to do with the rules or with the purposes, more with the reason or with the heart? Is the justice built primarily on the defense of the individual or the defense of the community interests? Are there intermediate positions in this debate on justice or are we dealing with irreconcilable positions? The current debate on justice is not a matter only of philosophers, because depending on the perspective we take, we will assign a different role to the State, the community and the individual in achieving fairer societies. It is a crucial time for humanity, in which justice, sustainability and peace come into a play, because of a global crisis as a result of a crisis of values. We need to educate for justice and this requires a good dose of rationality and an enormous empathy and sensitivity, a stubborn defense of the individual and a reconstruction of the communities in which he learns virtuously taking care of others.
