Resumen de Outcomes Similar With Interrupted and Continuous Chest Compressions in Cardiac Arrest

Karen Rosenberg

  • According to this study:

    * In patients treated by emergency medical services (EMS) providers for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, rates of survival and favorable neurologic status were similar in those who received interrupted chest compressions and those who received continuous chest compressions.

    * An accompanying editorial suggests that, in light of these findings, the 2015 American Heart Association resuscitation guidelines for EMS providers may need to be revisited.
