Resumen de Pacientes hospitalizados por riesgo suicida: ¿cómo perciben la ayuda recibida?

  Se presenta la percepción de 10 pacientes hospitalizados por intento/ideación suicida, acerca de la ayuda recibida durante su período de hospitalización. Se utilizó una técnica cualitativa a través de una entrevista efectuada una semana después del alta médica. Los resultados muestran que los pacientes evalúan favorablemente la ayuda recibida. Ellos distinguen aspectos técnicos y relacionales en la interacción, tanto con los profesionales, como con los otros pacientes. En los resultados se detallan las características del ""conversar"" y ""compartir"" considerados como factores especialmente terapéuticos. Lo novedoso es que los resultados se basan en el punto de vista de pacientes y la valoración de la relación con otros pacientes como factor de ayuda. Además, se diferencia la percepción de las diferentes intervenciones.

  We present the perception of 10 patients hospitalized for attempted suicide/suicidal ideation, about the aid received during the period of their hospitalization. We used a qualitative technique through an interview performed one week after the medical discharge. The results show that patients evaluate favorably the aid received. They distinguish the technical and the relational aspects in the interactions both with professionals as well as with the other patients. In the results there is an emphasis in the characteristics of the ""talking"" and ""sharing"", factors considered as particularly therapeutic. The novelty of this research approach is that the results are based on the point of view of the patients and the value they assign to the relationship with other patients as therapeutic. In addition, there is collection of perceptions regarding a variety of other interventions.
