  • Resumen
    • Semipreparative gas chromatography is an excellent technique for isolating small amounts of volatile compounds from mixtures. Given the limitations of the commercially available collection tubes, a new, inexpensive semipreparative GC collection tube was developed utilizing a standard 5-mm NMR tube to collect the purified samples. The use of NMR tubes allows for the facile isolation of compounds from the GC with good percent recoveries followed by NMR analysis of the pure isolated compound. Instructions for assembling and use of the apparatus are provided.
