    * In patients with early-stage breast cancer, increasingly longer intervals between diagnosis and surgery were associated with slightly lower rates of both overall survival and disease-specific survival.

    * In breast cancer patients, a longer interval between surgery and the initiation of chemotherapy increased the rates of overall survival and disease-specific survival.
