El mundo ve hoy cómo China se proyecta como un actor de importancia en el sistema internacional, donde lo central es visualizar cuál es su potencial y observar la tensión entre cooperación y hegemonía que domina su política exterior. Esta tensión está conformada por la trilogía de reinserción, reposicionamiento y resignifi cación; donde lo medular es que esta ha logrado mantener un claro mensaje de cooperación por sobre el de la hegemonía, pero donde esta última es un pilar que lenta pero sostenidamente gana terreno en la política exterior china. Efectivamente, hoy es posible argumentar que China está en una clara promoción más compleja que se sustenta en las etapas de reposicionamiento y resignifi cación.

Nowadays, the world is a witness of how China is projecting itself as a relevant actor in the international system, where the most important factor is to understand its potential and to observe the tension between the cooperation and hegemony that is currently dominating its foreign policy. This tension is formed by the trilogy of re-insertion, re-positioning and re-signifi cation; the clear message of cooperation and how it overshadows its dominance is central, whereas the hegemony is the pillar which is slowly gaining ground in China’s foreign policy. Today it is possible to notice that China is gradually promoting a more complex stage of re-positioning and resignification.
