Resumen de Línea aérea de contacto T-C para electrificación a 25 kV 50 Hz

Gonzalo Pérez Morales

  • Among single-phase electric traction systems, which have been largely developed, 25 kV, 50 Hz type has reached general acceptance, due to its advantages over direct current and diesel traction systems.

Related to the knowledge of these advantages, which are highlighted in a smaller implantation cost for fixed installations and in a lowering of the profitability threshold, a T-C contact line has been developed in Spain, gathering the characteristic of “T” contact line (trolley type) and “C” type (catenary) adjustable to different capacities of traction power, speed type and that is able to be transformed into either “T” or “C” type, using the same suspension equipment for lines for smaller performances. Its simple conception helps from the point of view of its fitting and maintenance.

The design for this contact line has been undertaken by construction companies under the technical management of the “AIT” and sponsored by “CDTI” and RENFE, in a first stage programs and patterns have been set up for an optimum dimension and verified the geometrical parameters of the “T-C” contact line in a experimental section 800 m long beside Chamartín-Madrid station with satisfactory performance.
