    Les annonces « hype » et les promesses portées par le transhumanisme, à partir des ressources du numérique, sont le symptôme de la dissolution du biologique dans le machinique : ce qui se nomme « dématérialisation », « virtualisation », « décorporation », etc. – autant de termes qui suggèrent que ce qui résiste et à quoi il faut s’arracher, c’est la corporéité et que l’artefact garantira une fluidification susceptible de transformer le corps en simple « flamme » circulant dans le cyberespace.

    The current hype over transhumanism and what it might promise, all based on digital resources, are symptomatic of the way the biological is being subsumed into the machine, through what we refer to as “dematerialisation”, “virtualisation”, “disembodiment” and other terms that all suggest that what is tying us down is our bodily substance, and that artefact alone provides the fluidity that can transform us into a disembodied “flame” freely moving through cyberspace.
