  • Resumen
    • "The size of the deposit suggests that it could supply the whole fiberglass industry for generations to come. We recently published a NI 43-101 resource of about 60m tonnes (indicated and inferred). There won't be any problem in increasing this as we go along," Jamie Tuer, president of Hudson Resources, told IM.

Despite any perceived challenges presented by Greenland, Tuer believes that it is a great place to mine: "The more we work there and the more we look at other mining projects throughout the world, the more we believe that we are in exactly the right location. The project is on tide water and is capable of handling large bulk (cape-size) vessels. The weather is very stable as demonstrated by our drilling record over the last three years losing only two or three days to bad weather," Tuer said.

While shipping to and from Greenland can sometimes be problematic because of ice, White Mountain will run into no such problem: "Our property is located part way up the west coast where there is year-round shipping. We believe that we can ship eight months of the year without the need for ice class rated vessels. The other four months probably requires ice rated vessels, although the route is ice free," said Tuer.
