Resumen de Parámetros poblacionales de Acanthoscelides obtectus (Say) (Coleoptera Bruchidae) en la variedad OTI de frijol (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) en condiciones de almacenamiento

  Los parámetros poblacionales del gorgojo Acanthoscelides obtectus, se estimaron mediante la metodología de tablas de vida y fertilidad, en presencia de la variedad de frijol Phaseolus vulgaris variedad OTI, con el objetivo de conocer si es susceptible o resistente al ataque del citado insecto del frijol en condiciones de almacenamiento. Con base en los resultados se concluyó que la variedad tiene resistencia al ataque de A. obtectus.

  Population parameters of the Acanthoscelides obtectus weevil were estimated using the methodology of life and fertility tables, in presence of the OTI variety Phaseolus vulgaris bean, with the objective of understanding whether it is susceptible or resistant to the attack by the insect mentioned, in storage conditions. Based on the results, it was concluded that the variety has resistance to the attack by A. obtectus.
