    La primera década del nuevo milenio concluye con la realización de diferentes trabajos que analizan la situación del medio rural de municipios Gipuzkoanos. En este artículo recogemos las conclusiones principales que obtenemos de los mismos. En principio, en aquellos lugaren organizados por el caserío el alto nivel de envejecimiento y la dispersión del hábitat provocan que la situación sea crítica. A su favor cuentan con una ámplia red de cobertura y atención informal, la familia, que asume su cuidado y su deseo de residir toda su vida en el caserío. La situación de los municipios de menos de 2000 habitantes es mejor. El jubilado es más joven y vive habitualmente con su pareja. Pero también en estos casos preocupa el alto grado de envejecimiento que se avecina y la necesidad de dotar a estos municipios de servicios para atender las necesidades de su población de edad.

    The first decade of the millennium ends with the realitation of various studies about the situation of land area of some villages of Gipuzkoa. In this paper we collect the main conclusions we get from them. In the areas where the habitat is disperse the population is older and both problems provoque a critical situation. In its favour this area has and informal extensive network coverage and is the family who takes the care responsibility and who satisfy their desire to live his life in the family farm. The situation of the municipalities of less than 2,000 inhabitants is better. The retiree is younger and usually lives with his partner. But in these cases also it concernes the high degree of aging that is coming and the necesity to provide services to these villages to attempt the necesities of its older population.

    bi milagarren lehendabiziko hamarkadaren bukaeran Gipuzkoako baserria eta landa eremua aztertzen zituzten ikerketa ezberdinak burutu ziren. Artikulu honetan ikerketa hauen ondorioak jasoz landa eremuko gizartearen egoera jaso egin da. Baserri eremutan zahartasun maila altua eta sakabanaketaren ondorioz egoera bereziki larria da. Honen aurrean zaharrek familiaren babesa jasotzen dute ia kasu guztietan beraien nahia gauzatuz, hau da, baserrian bizitzen jarraitu hil arte. 2000 biztanletik berako herrietan, ordea, jubilatua gazteagoa da, bikotekidearekin bizi da eta giza bizitza ona du. Baina arazoa ate joka du eta landa herriak datorren egoerari aurre egiteko gizarte dotazioekin hornitu behar dira.
