  • Resumen
    • The article focuses on the importance for companies to examine their use of scheduling tools. It explores the criticism about the practice of clopening, in which employees are scheduled to close a store after 10 P.M. and to open it before dawn, by coffeehouse chain Starbucks. Problems with overreliance on scheduling software are detailed as well as the need for companies to create value for management and workers by adding some human decision making to the machine
