Resumen de Globalización, escuelas de pensamiento y fuerzas impulsoras

En este trabajo se abordan los principales factores impulsores de la globalización, tanto a nivel macroeconómico como a nivel industria, y se enfatiza cómo influyen estos impulsores en la integración global, o en la estrategia global de una industria.
A manera de introducción, se trata el concepto de globalización, mediante una descripción de los eventos históricos más importante de la globalización, definiciones del término de diferentes autores, y la presentación de las tres escuelas de pensamiento generadas por el debate de la globalización. Se concluye algo no abordado en la literatura consultada: las ideologías expresadas por las escuelas hiperglobalizadora y transformista confirman teóricamente y se vinculan con las circunstancias y eventos que dan lugar a los factores impulsores de la globalización y a la integración global.

In this paper, the main driving forces of globalization are addressed, from both, a global and an industry perspectives, describing how each driver influences either global integration or the global strategy of an industry.
As an introduction to the subject, the concept of globalization is delineated through a brief description of the main events in the history of globalization, several definitions of the term, and by presenting the three schools of thought of globalization, along with the main characteristics of each. What is concluded and that is not addressed in the literature, is that the ideologies of the Hyperglobalist and the transformist schools confirm theoretically and for these reason are linked to the circumstances and events that generate the driving forces of globalization, and global integration.
