    En el presente artículo se tratan dos asuntos interesantes sobre la valoración de la ciencia en la sociedad actual. El primero se refiere a la acelerada producción de conocimientos científicos, el dinamismo social de la ciencia y los nuevos roles del científico. En el segundo se observa una cierta preocupación social sobre la insuficiente verificación de las conclusiones científicas y la exigencia social de una mayor democratización de la ciencia.

    This essay focuses on two interesting points about the valuation of the science in the society today. The first point is the rapidly accelerated production of scientific knowledge, the social dynamism that involves the scientific production and the emergence of the new roles of scientists. The second point is the social concern about the insufficient verifications of scientific developments and the social demand for the democratization of the science.
