This article deals with a Gallo-Roman cooking utensil dumping ground dating back the 3rd century A.D. and located near a hill-side dwelling as early as the 1st century on the territory of Rasteau (Vaucluse). In this pottery dump were found the following items : 721 shards mostly made of clear B sigillate and of Rhodanian kaolin ceramic; metal and bone objects and also remnants of animals mostly from the caprine and the sudae families. The purpose of the study of those two types of potteries is to enlarge the knowledge of the Gallo-Roman crockery of our region.
Il s'agit d'une décharge culinaire gallo-romaine datant du début du m« siècle de notre ère, et située à proximité d'un habitat implanté à flanc de coteau dès le i« siècle, sur le territoire de Rasteau (Vaucluse). Cette décharge contenait 721 tessons appartenant essentiellement à la sigillée claire B et à de la céramique kaolinique rhodanienne; des objets métalliques et en os; de la faune avant tout capridée et suidée. L'étude des deux types de poteries voudrait contribuer à la connaissance de la vaisselle gallo-romaine de notre région.
