Resumen de Hacia una lectura paródica del mito: caída y descreimiento del héroe en ¿Por qué corres, Ulises? de Antonio Gala

El objetivo de este artículo es estudiar la reinterpretación del mito de Odiseo en el teatro de siglo XX, en concreto, en la obra de Antonio Gala ¿Por qué corres, Ulises?. Para alcanzar este propósito, pretendemos acercarnos al mito a través de la parodia como perspectiva teórico y crítica, desde las obras paródicas en la literatura griega hasta las modificaciones sociales y culturales llevadas a cabo por Antonio Gala en el siglo XX. Es más, analizando la figura de Odiseo, podemos comprender cómo se ha convertido en uno de los personajes mitológicos más reinterpretados a través de los tiempos, con una enorme influencia en la literatura española. En definitiva, el mito se puede transformar para adaptarse a los nuevos tiempos y puede servir para redefinir la visión paródica de Odiseo en nuestra cultura presente.

The purpose of this article is to study the reinterpretation of the myth of Odiseo in the twentieth century theater, specifically, in the literary work written by Antonio Gala ¿Por qué corres, Ulises? To achieve this aim, we try to understand the myth throughout the Parody, such as theoric and critic perspective from parodic literary works in the Greek Literature to the social and cultural modifications taken away by Antonio Gala in the twentieth century. Furthermore, by analyzing the figure of Odiseo, we can comprehend how he has become one of the most mythological characters more reinterpreted throughout the times, with enormous influence in the Spanish Literature. The myth can transform itself to adapt to the new times, and it can serve to redefine the parodic vision of Odiseo in our current culture.
