    ¿Cómo pensar la ciudad en términos de “autobiografía”? ¿Cómo apropiarnos de tamaño espacio, ajeno y misterioso, y sobre todo común, compartido con millones de personas? En general se tiende a considerar la autobiografía en el eje temporal, pero toda biografía es también inseparable de la dimensión espacial donde esos acontecimientos tienen lugar. Así, para habitantes de las ciudades la historia se entreteje en el espacio urbano de modos visibles e invisibles pero nunca intrascendentes. En este ensayo intentaré responder a esas preguntas abordando la ciudad como punto de encuentro de diversas miradas, saberes, artes, oficios, literaturas, anclajes y errancias, utopías y distopías. En otras palabras, intentaré pensar la ciudad como espacio biográfico.

    How to think the city in terms of “autobiography”? How to appropriate such an alien, mysterious and shared space? Usually, autobiography tends to be considered on a temporal axis, but all biography is also inseparable from the spatial dimension in which those events take place. Thus, for the inhabitants of cities history unfolds in the urban space in ways that are both visible and invisible, but never irrelevant. In this essay I shall attempt to approach these questions by looking at the city as a focal point among different views, knowledge, arts, crafts, literatures, in-mobilities and wanderings, utopias and dystopias. In other words, I aim to think the city as a biographical space.
