  This article is presentation of causes for abandonment the children and the early identification the risk of abandonment in families in crises.   The abandonment issue must be approached depending on the child`s age, on his family and his own medical status, and the last but not least, on the functionality of certain institutions. Such an approach helps to identify the most efficient social services for preventing the abandonment, services which are guided by the families needs
