Resumen de Representación ausente y presente del judío en "El Conde Lucanor": técnicas narrativas y modelo de interaccion grupal

  El contacto directo entre Juan Manuel (1282-1348) y los grupos judío y musulmán sirvió como herramienta literaria para proyectarlos a través del tejido argumental y de personajes de El Conde Lucanor. La presencia del judío en esta obra queda reflejada en el prólogo y tres exempla (XI, XX y XLV) en los que se mencionan varios oficios estigmatizados por el folklore tradicional y atribuidos a esta comunidad: físicos, nigromantes y alquimistas. Sin embargo, destaca la falta de información sobre el origen o entidad religiosa de los personajes que desempeñan estos puestos. El siguiente artículo examina a través de las teorías de interacción grupos, re-fencing y extended group hypothesis los condicionantes que pudieron impulsar al autor a omitir la figura del judío en estos tres relatos; en este caso, se destacan dos principales motivos: el impacto que esta omisión crea en el discurso narrativo de la obra, y el contexto político y social de la Castilla del siglo XIV

  The direct contact between Juan Manuel (1282-1348) and the Jewish and Moslem groups represent a literary resource in some of the characters’ building and storylines within Count Lucanor. The Jewish presence in this work is portrayed in the preface and three exempla (XI, XX and XLV) where its protagonists carry out professions that were stigmatized and attributed to them by popular folklore: physicians, necromancers and alchemists. However, there is a lack of information about the characters’ religious origin who embody these occupations. This article aims to analyse through the theory of group interaction, and the mechanisms of 're-fencing' and 'extended-group hypothesis' the motifs that encouraged the author to omit the characters’ 'Jewishness’ in these tales. To do so, I will argue these main reasons rely on two aspects: their impact in the narrative discourse of the book and the historical and social events that shaped 14th century Castile
