  • Resumen
    • In a double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized clinical trial (RCT), Dr Lazzerini and colleagues1 examined the effect of thalidomide vs placebo in children with active Crohn disease refractory to immunosuppressive medications. All immunosuppressive medications had to be stopped prior to recruitment and only tapering steroids were allowed during the study (ie, thalidomide or placebo was the sole treatment).
