Grammaire cognitive: le cas du génitif en grec moderne

    In this paper, the genitive, one of the four cases in Modern Greek, is treated within the frame of cognitive linguistics and, more precisely, within the frame of Ron Langacker's Cognitive Grammar. On important distinction is made between the genitive as morpheme-affix (genitive- grammeme) and the genitive realized in a noun (genitive-composite structure). We are going to insist mostly on the semantic pole and to investigate the operations of these linguistic units on other components with which they are in a "valence relation". The genitive-grammeme "modifies" the nominative (prototypical instance) of the noun adding two more profiles ; the genitive-composite structure has a triple profile : the region designated, one substructure thematised and a relation. In its turn, the genitive-composite structure, in a syntactic relation with another unit, autonomous, operates on this one in such a way that it determines its categorization.

    Dans cet article, on abordera le génitif, un des quatre cas en grec moderne, dans le cadre de la linguistique cognitive et, plus précisément, dans le cadre de la grammaire cognitive de Ron Langacker. On fait une distinction importante entre le génitif comme morphème-affixe (génitif- grammème) et le génitif réalisé dans un nom (génitif-structure composite). On s'attachera plutôt au pôle sémantique et recherchera les opérations de ces unités linguistiques sur d'autres composants avec lesquels elles se trouvent en "relation de valence". Le génitif-grammème "modifie" le nominatif (instance prototypique) du nom en ajoutant deux profils ; le génitif-structure composite a un triple profil : la région désignée, une substructure thématisée et une relation. A son tour, le génitif-structure composite, dans une relation syntaxique avec une autre unité, autonome, opère sur celle-ci de telle manière qu'il détermine sa catégorisation.
