    The few remains of rhinoceros from Châtillon-Saint-Jean belong to Coelodonta antiquitatis. This species, whose biotope is rather ubiquitous, is probably unknown before the Riss glaciation. Its existence seems to be a proof of the post-mindelian age of the site.

    Les quelques restes de Rhinocéros de Châtillon-Saint-Jean appartiennent à Coelodonta antiquitatis. Cette espèce, dont l'habitat est plutôt ubiquiste, n'est pas connue avec certitude avant le Riss. Sa presence tend donc à confirmer l'âge postmindélien du gisement.
