The excavations at Biache (Northern France), essentially a rescue operation in advance of a building programme, have uncovered a large quantity of bones of large Mammals. Although only a small part has as yet been prepared and identified, they give a good idea of the faunal and game association. They suggest a fairly mild climate, at the end of the Middle Pleistocene. As far as palaeoethnography is concerned, the state of the bones indicates that some part of the evidence of Man's occupation is recoverable, though at the price of a great deal of work on restoration.

Les fouilles, essentiellement de sauvetage, faites à Biache (Nord de la France) ont livré une masse importante d'ossements de grands Mammifères. Bien qu'une faible part encore en soit préparée et connue, ils donnent un bon aperçu de la composition faunique et du gibier. Ils plaident pour un climat assez doux, à la fin du Pleistocène moyen. En ce qui concerne la paléoethnographie, l'état du matériel laisse prévoir qu'une certaine partie du témoignage sur l'occupation par l'homme pourra être récupérée, au prix d'un très gros travail de reconstitution.
