This commentary examines international planning studio education through the experience of a US graduate student. As international networks and interconnectedness are strengthened through the process of globalisation, the author contends that it is increasingly beneficial for planning students to have the experience of an international studio. It may be argued that no other educational tool offers students the same opportunity in which to learn and experience cross-cultural engagement and awareness.
