  El artículo investiga las representaciones de la marginalidad urbana presentes en la filmografía de Martin Scorsese. Más que un análisis estrictamente estético o de imagen, se consideran las acciones, contextos y narrativas resultantes de este fenómeno en la ciudad, a un nivel estructural como de situaciones específicas. Además del foco descriptivo que tiene el artículo, las ideas y valores que presentan aquellos habitantes del imaginario marginal de Scorsese también son considerados.

  This article investigates the representations of urban marginality in the cinematography of Martin Scorsese. Rather than applying a strict aesthetic analysis or discussing of Scorsese’s imagery, we will consider actions, contexts and resulting narratives of the phenomenon of marginality in the city, on both a structural level and on the level of specific events. Along the descriptive focus of this article, the ideas and values of the inhabitants that inhabit Scorsese’s marginal imaginary will also be considered.
