Resumen de Los estudios etnohistóricos en San Agustín y el alto Magdalena

En este artículo se reseña la trayectoria de los estudios sobre los contactos y cambios culturales de los indígenas del alto Magdalena a partir de la Conquista española. Se registran las Crónicas de Indias y las contribuciones del profesor Juan Friede sobre los indios de San Agustín, los Andakí de la selva y los del valle del Suaza. Se comenta el caso de los Tamas trasladados al alto Magdalena y la relación de ese proceso con el sistema de pensamiento amazónico. Se pasa revista a los trabajos de historia oral en el Macizo colombiano y por último se hace un intento de balance y perspectivas.

This article reviews the trayectory of the studies on contacts and culture change of the indians of the high Magdalena river from Spanish Conquest. It inspects the chronicles and the researchs of professor Juan Friede about the indians of San Agustin, the Andakí of the jungle and the indians of the Suaza river. It comments the case iof the Tama indians who were moved to high Magdalena valley, and the relation of that process with the Amazonian thought system. Furthermore, it reviews the works on oral history in the Colombian Macizo, and at the end it intends to do a balance and identifying some perspectives for future research.
