Resumen de Accidentalidad ocular en los talleres del Instituto Técnico Industrial Piloto de Bogota durante los años 2001 a 2003

Este trabajo pretende realizar un diagnóstico de la accidentalidad ocular de los estudiantes que rotan por los talleres del Instituto Técnico Industrial Piloto de Bogotá: para ello inicialmente se recopilaron y revisaron las estadísticas de accidentalidad de tres años (2001-2003) identificando el taller más afectado, el grado o curso y el número de accidentes reportados. Se concluyó que los talleres de mecánica industrial, mecánica automotriz y metalistería son los que mayor riesgo representan para la salud ocular y visual de los estudiantes; ya que allí se presentó el mayor número de accidentes. Los grados sexto, séptimo, octavo y noveno se accidentan con mayor facilidad que los de los grados décimo y once.

This work made a diagnosis about the ocular accidents among the students who study in the different workshops in the Instituto Tecnico Industrial Piloto in Bogota. Firstly, accident statistics during 2001 and 2003 were recuperated and checked to identify what was the workshop with the highest number of accidents, the grade and the number of accidents reported. It concluded that workshops of industrial mechanic, auto motor mechanic, and metalworking represent risk for students’ ocular health, with the highest number of accidents. Grades sixth, seventh, eight, and ninth have more accidents than tenth and eleventh.
