En el cuarto centenario de la publicación de los Comentarios Reales la comunidad internacional ha reconocido el carácter emblemático del Inca Garcilaso no sólo para la cultura peruana sino para toda Iberoamérica y el mundo. El rostro mestizo del Inca Garcilaso creado por Francisco González Gamarra ha sido reconocido, a su vez, por la misma comunidad, como la representación más estética y verosímil de su figura. En cierto modo internet ha hecho posible no sólo el consenso de la cultura global sobre la imagen mestiza del Inca Garcilaso de González Gamarra, sino que ha realizado en un sentido imprevisible en vida del propio artista, su deseo de multiplicar la imagen visual del Inca, como un homenaje y un reconocimiento al primer humanista peruano.

In the fourth centenary of the publication of the Royal Commentaries the international community has recognized the symbolic nature of Inca Garcilaso not only for the Peruvian culture but for all Latin America and the world. The mestizo face of Inca Garcilaso created by Francisco González Gamarra has been recognized, in turn, by the same community as the most aesthetic and credible representation of his image. In some ways the Internet has made it possible not only the consensus of global culture on the mestizo image of Inca Garcilaso de Gonzalez Gamarra, but it has made, in an unpredictable direction in the artist's life, his desire to multiply the visual image of the Inca, as a tribute and recognition to the first Peruvian humanist.
