    L'étude d'un sondage aux environs de Rue (Somme) a permis de reconnaître une succession de huit épisodes de sédimentation marine, alternant avec des formations continentales qui s'échelonnent depuis le Weichsèlien ancien jusqu'à l'époque actuelle. Des témoins de deux transgressions marines, datant du Weichsèlien ancien, ont ete découvertes. Elle peuvent être attribuées aux interstades d'Amersfoort et de Brörup.

    On the geodynamic evolution of the marquenterre (low somme) during the eo-weichselian and the holocene the series of marine and continental deposits near the village of rue.A succession of eight episodes of marine sedimentation are recognised in a boring, nearby Rue (low valley of the Somme) These marine deposits are separated by continental formations, extending from the early Weichsehan to the present day Witnesses of high-sea levels, dating from the Eo- Weichsehan, have been discovered : they can be attributed to the Amersfoort and to the Brörup interstadials.
