The article examines the virtues and limits of a cotextualizing reading of the Poetics which consists in interpreting the notions or concepts that are applied in it by shedding light on them thanks to a reading of the Organon (on logic) or by widening the cotext and by reading them in the light of some excerpts from The Metaphysics.

L’article propose d’examiner les vertus et les limites d’une lecture cotextualisante de la Poétique, consistant à interpréter les notions ou concepts qui y sont mis en oeuvre en les éclairant par la lecture des traités de logique de l’Organon ou encore en élargissant le cotexte et en les lisant à la lumière de quelques passages de la Métaphysique.
