Resumen de Forschen ohne historisch-kritische Textgrundlage: der Dekretalenteil der Collectio Hispana

  Der Aufsatz geht der Frage nach, wie man bei Studien zur Collectio Hispana dem unterschiedlichen Editionstand der verschiedenen Teile begegnen kann. Der GroJ3teil der Sammlung liegt bereits in einer historisch-kritischen Edition von Martínez Díez/Rodríguez vor, wahrend für einige Konzilien auf die zweisprachige Ausgabe von Vives und für den Dekretalenteil auf die Edition von González vom Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts zurückgegritTen werden muss. Anhand von zwei ausgewahlten Dekretalen, die im Anhang abgedruckt sind, wird ein moglicher Umgang mit diesem Problem vorgestellt: Der Text der Edition von González wird mit vier ausgewahlten Handschriften verglichen, um die Verlasslichkeit der Ausgabe zu überprüfen. Dabei kann gleichzeitig festgestellt werden, wo bei der Benutzung Vorsicht geboten ist. Es zeigt sich, dass der Text der Briefe im GroJ3en und Ganzen zuverlassig wiedergeben wurde. Die zwei bedeutenden Probleme sind die normierte Schreibung, die die Edition für philologische Fragestellung unbrauchbar macht, sowie die Wahl einer Leithandschrift, in der die Dekretalen und ihr Index in einer Form erscheinen, die sich von den anderen Handschriften substanziell unterscheidet. Daher entspricht das Erscheinungsbild dieses Teils in der Edition nicht dem der handschriftlichen Überlieferung.

  Research on the decretal part of the Collectio Hispana. The essay considers the question how to deal with the divergent state of the edition of the various parts of the Collectio Hispana. The major part of the collection is already available in a historico-critical edition by Martínez Diez/Rodríguez, while it is still necessary to consult the bilingual edition of Vives for some councils and the edition ofGonzález, which dates from the beginning ofthe 19th century, for the decretals. Based on two selected decretals (which are printed in the appendix) a possible handling of this problem will be presented: The edition by González is compared with four selected manuscripts to verify the reliability ofthe text. Thereby, a precautious usage ofhis compilation will be recommended: Apparently the text as a whole is reliable. The two major problems are the normalized spelling making the edition unusable for philological questions, as well as González' choosing of a Leithandschrift in which the decretals and their index appear in a form ditTering substantially from the other manuscripts.
