    Este artículo se centra en la investigación acerca del artista ruso del siglo XX Pavel Tchelitchew. Siendo muy joven, el artista tuvo que dejar su Patria y vivió durante toda su vida en exilio: París, Nueva York y Roma. Trabajó en varios teatros, diseñando escenografías para grupos de ballet, entre los cuales se encontraba el Ballet Ruso del empresario Serguei Diaghilew. Su trabajo realizado para la obra “Oda” del Ballet Ruso fue pionero en la historia de la escenografía europea de los años veinte. El ballet, que fue inspirado por el poema del filósofo y poeta M. Lomonosov, y acompañado por la música de N. Nabokov, contenía proyecciones y juego de luces jamás visto en un escenario. El novedoso trabajo del artista no fue muy aceptado por los contemporáneos pero, sin lugar a duda, abrió una puerta hacía la experimentación en escenografía.

    This article focuses on research about the Russian artist of the twentieth century Pavel Tchelitchew. He left his Motherland when he was very young and lived during all his life in exile: Paris, New York and Rome. He worked for different theatres, designed scenographies for many groups of ballet, and among them was the Russian Ballet of the famous impresario Serguei Diaghilew. His work made for the “Ode” of Russian Ballet was the trailblazer in the history of European scenography of the twentieth. The ballet which was inspired by the poem of the philosopher and the poet M. Lomonosov and accompanied by the music of N. Nabokov, contained projections and lights which had never been seen before on a scenery. The innovative work of the artist wasn’t accepted by the contemporaries but it opened the door to the experimentation in scenography
