Resumen de O método investigativo em aulas teóricas de Química: estudo das condições da formação do espírito científico

O principal referencial teórico que norteou esta pesquisa foi Gaston Bachelard. Observou-se que as atividades de investigação tiveram impactos distintos em duas escolas públicas e uma particular. Os estudantes da escola particular utilizavam os conceitos que aprendiam para elaborar suas hipóteses, evidenciando maior rendimento escolar. Por outro lado, demonstraram menor satisfação em participar e menor liberdade com o trabalho investigativo. Os estudantes das escolas públicas, por sua vez, sentiram maior satisfação em realizar investigações e mostraram maior liberdade na criação de ideias, porém foram prejudicados por problemas conceituais. Os dados e as reflexões desta pesquisa permitem sugerir que para a formação do espírito científico são necessários conhecimento sobre a natureza da ciência, domínio de conceitos científicos e disposição para a imersão em problemas científicos

  This study aimed to describe the application of investigative problems in chemistry theoretical classes to understand the influence of school environment in the formation of scientific spirit. The main reference that guided this research was Gaston Bachelard. It was noted that investigative activities have different impacts in two public schools and one private. Students in private schools used the concepts they learned to develop their hypotheses, showing greater academic performance. On the other hand, they showed less satisfaction to participate and less freedom in the investigative work. The public school students felt more satisfaction in the investigation and showed greater freedom in creating ideas, but were hampered by conceptual problems. The results of this research suggest that to formation of the scientific spirit are needed: knowledge about the nature of science, the domain of scientific concepts and a desire to immerse themselves in scientific problems.
