  • The Spanish Maritime Safety Agency´s Jovellanos Maritime Training Centre BALEÀRIA RECEIVES TRAINING ON LNG ACCIDENTAL SPILL MANAGEMENT Summary: The Jovellanos Maritime Training Centre in Gijon, as part of the Spanish Maritime Safety Agency has conducted the first two sessions of a course on accidental LNG spill management for the crew of shipping company Baleària. The training only confirms the shipping company´s pioneering decision to switch to this alternative fuel. The company is a pioneer in Spain in its support of the use of liquefied gas in maritime transport and has installed an auxiliary Rolls Royce gas engine in its ship Abel Matutes after reaching agreement with Gas Natural Fenosa.
