Based on the distinction between the “awaken” and the ignorant, Buddhism promotes the dogma of the lama’s infallibility and favours the constitution of devotees’ communities serving their masters. It owes its success in the West to our “culture of narcissism”.
Fondé sur la distinction entre les « éveillés » et les ignorants, le bouddhisme promeut le dogme de l’infaillibilité du lama et favorise la formation de communautés de dévots au service du maître. Son succès en Occident tient sans doute à notre « culture du narcissisme ».
