  • The article reports the completion by iPhone smartphone maker Foxconn Technology Group on August 12, 2016 of its acquisition of electronics firm Sharp for 3.8 billion dollars. Also cited are the antitrust reviews conducted by regulators in Europe, China, Japan and Taiwan on the deal, the question made by private equity firm Innovation Network Corp. of Japan (INCJ) on the deal, and the comment by law firm Nishimura & Asahi's Hajime Ueno on the deal.
