El artículo estudia la antropología de san Agustín, a partir de las reflexiones de Mazzarella. Presenta el itinerario agustiniano y sus fuentes antropológicas griegas y latinas. Se afirma que la actualidad y perennidad del pensamiento antropológico agustiniano nacen de su carácter performativo y de la perenne situación de crisis en la que Agustín vivió durante toda su vida.

The article deals with St. Augustine's anthropology, taking as point of departure Mazzarellas's ideas. It presents the different moment of St. Augustine's Life and his anthropological sources, both Latin and Greek. The nowadays importance of St. Augustine's anthropology is based on his performance attitude and the perennial situation of crisis in which he had to live all his life.
