Sistemas familiares y dictadura franquista en Luna lunera de Rosa Regàs

    Las siguientes líneas analizan Luna lunera (1999) de Rosa Regàs a través de la óptica de la teoría de los sistemas familiares y explora la manera en que el texto logra capturar las matrices de poder de la España franquista dentro de los confines de la familia patriarcal. Mi análisis combina una lectura arquetípica del abuelo con teorías relevantes de sistemas familiares y subraya la manera en que la sociedad franquista es creada y reproducida a través de las interacciones existentes entre los miembros del sub-núcleo de la nación, esto es, entre miembros de la familia.

    The article analyses Rosa Regàs’s Luna lunera (1999) through the optic of Family Systems Theory (FST) to examine how the text manages to capture the essence and power matrices of Francoist Spain within the confines of a patriarchal family. My analysis combines an archetypal reading of the grandfather in the novel with relevant theories of FST to underscore how a fascist society is created and replicated through the interactions between members of the nuclear subset of the nation, that is, the closed family unit. My study is tangential to previous criticism on Regàs that heavily focuses on issues of voice as a dissident mechanism vis-à-vis the dictatorship. What I seek to elucidate, however, is an understanding of the narrative workings and structures of the text through a careful tracing of the frameworks of power that later permit a voicing of protest. The systems extant in the family in Luna lunera, I argue, are fundamental to any shaping of a narrative voice in Regàs, that may also include her in a generation of writers who lived and write against the dictatorship.
